Description
This painting was created for one of the Wolf & Thyme subscription boxes and honors the Life of a Tree. We are celebrating Arbor Day soon and trees are essential for all life on our beautiful planet.
I created this tree to show the roots as veins, the open heart of it’s trunk is alive, and in the night sky she glows under the moonlight. I did a Healing Roots ritual with Blessed Salts, Essential oil, incense, Palo santo smoke, and intentional healing for family, ancestors and for our precious trees.
Materials used were 11x14" 140 lb cold pressed watercolor archival paper, pencil, pigment and metallic watercolor, gel ink, pot ink and a loofah, signed and sealed by the artist Kat Alunora. It comes with a certificate of authenticity, a backer board and a film overlay.
